At first, I got a chuckle when I read this on their site. Turning off a wall of display is one thing, but what they did to the presenters (especially Motorolla) is inexcusable. They took it way to far...

Oh yeah thanks to your help in getting the SMP client and giving the GPU client a go, I am now in the top 20 producers. Not bad considering when a few years back I had only an iBook and I was producing 48 points a day and did that for over a year!
I don't know how long I will be able to sustain that rate though might have to drop back.

And the English language's inception was here in England so why do Americans spell rumours 'rumors'? And there are an abundance of similar examples.
Try being an American and writing words like "tyre", "colour", "aluminium" etc. I always try to use the correct "English" spelling of words and people give me crap about it. I just tell 'em that's the CORRECT way to do it, and the sun never sets on the British Empire. They usually leave me alone after that. :p

Literally the only reason for my upgrade was the checkerboard lag. Still does it. Maybe by iPad 4 it'll be fixed.

If the score is X, you can change the score to X-1 and X+1. If you change it to X-1 then press up, it'll display as X+1 which removes your down vote and adds your upvote.In other words, there is no allowance for apathy. I can't be arsed with a system that doesn't allow for apathy. **** that.
Also, please explain why clicking on the "up" arrow sometimes adds 1 and sometimes 2. Does it depend on how enthusiastically you press the button?

I am not sure whether or not this has been suggested, but is it not possible for someone in the audience (macrumors.com) to set up a video or audio feed?

Thanks I have it all configured now, I have been doing a3 units all along. Can't wait to complete my 10 units. Hopefully this should boost the ppd from my i7 as it currently is doing 850-900ppd.

The kids love the look of iOS, FART Apps, and all that nonsense. Its all fun & games on mommy & daddies money.
The grown ups who use their Macs to get things done, find some of these changes far from amusing. For us its about productivity & efficiency. It's about computing.

What GPU's do you have in it? Are they new or some you already had? It will be interesting to see how the bigadv units work on it. I think you said it is an i7 920? Do you have it OC'd?

the processor is an i7 930 actually. i have it overclocked to 3.5 ghz right now. i didn't have time to really mess with all the settings like i wanted.

MBAir is too expensive. I was looking for something from Apple to be around the price point I can get a ThinkPad X61 from Lenovo.
It's nice that it fits in an envelope, but that just makes me think it could be too easily damaged traveling in a bag everyday (e.g. too thin).
I like the weight though. It's too bad that Apple couldn't get the MacBooks to be in the weight range.
I can understand why Apple has it in that price range though. You are paying for the smaller Core 2 Duo and the size. They are eyeing the laptops like the Sony's and the Panasonic's. Those are priced in this range too.

Nothing new going on for the past few days. Someone is connecting to XBox Live with my account but it is no longer on my wireless network. I'm getting the feeling that my 360 is no longer in my neighborhood. :(
They still haven't actually played a game on the system though... :confused:
On a side note, EBGames called and said they are doing a midnight release for Guitar Hero 2 on the 360. I'm very upset that I won't be able to play it for a while except for at a friend's house.

I agree with you quigley.
Hip-Hop is very difficult to perform live. No matter how good they sound on the album live just isn't the same.
I thought Kanye did great with what he had though. And he is definately the best thing to happen to Hip-Hop since the Chronic 2001 was released.
