I recently moved to Cincinnati, OH.
My I-485 was filled in TSC; when I did an e-file today for I-131, the receipt confirmation documents to send it to TSC.
All other documents on the uscis site suggest sending it to NSC based on OH State.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Did you have to get it in advance or did you get it on arrival?
No visa required with GC. But, since I only had my AP, they asked me to get a Mexican visa ($36). The above rule must be new (no visas needed with non-immigrant US visas).

Approved I140, EB3, PD Dec 2004, I485 filed on Jun 30, 2007, Got EAD and AP
Employer B:

I was just wondering, do you have that much paitence to start all over again. It is going to be another 10 years , if you are sent back in the line.
I am in 9th year extension with priority date 09/2002.
My I-140 denied on 06/18/08n and immediately I485 also denied.:mad:
I have Visa vailid till Jan09.
1.If I change employer and able to get labor cleared before jan09 , can I apply for I140 PP and get H1B exension.
2.Is the Priority date transferrable if I change the employer?

There's no catch at all.....according to my lawyer. He said even if you come back on AP, you can still work on your H-1B so long as it's valid.

As far as I know, Until your apply for a H1 extension or H1 transfer on "Parolee" status, your status continues to be "Parolee". Lets consider this.
You have 3 years remaining on your H1.
You go out and come back on "AP".
Your status changes to "Parolee".
You do H1 transfer (or) your employer files for H1 extension at the end of the 3rd year.
Now your status changes back to "H1".
Here is the catch. You are a "Parolee" until your "H1" transfer or extension. In case your I-485 gets rejected during your "Parolee" status, you gotta leave the country (or) file for an appeal and proceed with H1 transfer (or) H1 extension to retain your H1 status.

I agree with sri1309. This would stop the bleeding of the economic crisis. Folks just wont stop by buying house alone, they all will be motivated to spend more money. guys, our folks most of them are well positioned with good paying jobs and pay and the only reason for not spending and not buy houses are because of the insecurity of the stay due to the h1b extension.
We all to some extent know that this whole mess is due to the deregulation of the financial institiution and because of which high supply of houses ( SUPPLY and DEMAND. Now with the bailout government owns all these houses). By passing some legislation can control the deregulation but how do you sell the government owned houses quickly to the people? who will buy? Immigration is the best option. Here is my recommendation, regulate and tightenend the loans for the house constructing companies to control the supply side from the constructing compnay and issue green cards to all the legal immigrants to increase the demand side of the equation. Additionally bringing the ?? milliion illegal immigrants to legal will increase the tax revenue of the government. My 2cents says that whoever the next president, the comprehensive immigration reforms would be the best solutions for solving the current economic mess.
There are a lot of US citizens wanting to buy house. The problem is they are not able to afford and sitting on the sidelines. The house values will drop to affordable levels for regular folks to buy. Nothing will stop it. Even if all immigrants buy today, you can only postpone the crash. The basic problem is affordability. You can reduce the supply, but who will be able to pay inflated house prices?

There were about 600,000 AOS applications including the July and August filers. So that number less 60,000...roughly about 540,000 applications still pending with USCIS....
applications pending before July/Aug applications, why did they make all CURRENT? I don't think this number is correct. They maybe stuck in FBI Namecheck.

1. there is now another way to contribute, iv-merchandise is finally here, please visit the site, there are various exciting options. you can buy iv t shirts mugs, stickers, magnets et al also if you use common web merchants through the iv link, some small piece of revenue will flow to iv at no cost to you! this could be a hotwire plane/hotel/car booking, american express card or much more. see the link on the home page and the thread from english august.
2. iv action items are more than just monetary contributions. folks we need your time and effort too, those who have not- please consider volunteering for help with rally preparations- there is a lot to be done, does not matter where you are located. and of course - hope to see you in DC 9/18!

My LC and I140 approved (PD: may 2004). Applied 485 on Aug 8.
I became father last month.
My new born son is sick and he needs total attention for next 4 months. I have used up all my vacation and planning to apply for medical leave. Pediatrician recommends me getting medical leave and support my wife.
I work in a very big hardware company. I have completed 3.5yrs in H1B so far.f I apply for medical leave, I may get a pay cut (like 20 to 30%). Will I be affected because of this medical leave? Are H1B's allowed to take medical leave (upto 4 months)..

Well said adhantari.....When I look at few of my friends who married USC and how simple their became after that and how well they grew professionally, I sometime
wonder why more folks don't follow that path.
That is the advice I give to people from India in their early 20s who come to US.
I tell them not to spoil their lives over the PERM-I140-I485. It sucks the energy of their lives. One will easily lose 15 years of their life without much professional growth.

The current economic crisis has many victims. To hear about this 90 year old woman who attempted suicide is depressing too. There is a slight twist at the end, Fannie Mae forgave her debt.

On a different note, what about us folks who have been on this never ending path to legal immigration for ever and such events e.g economic crisis, rising unemployement etc impact us in a huge way and we don't have any recourse. What do you guys think should the USCIS do? Should they "forgive" us our circumstances. Should there be special rules in these unforseen circumstances?
