WOW... what a logic... what does Indian Govt. has to do with this money when this is taken out of my pay cheque.
When I take this money back to India I probably would end up paying some taxes on it... not sure what the logic is behind this... (again I do not undertsand the full details behind it).

I am not saying that there are more Chinese and Indians here. I am saying that application process is not fair since it does not give everyone a fair shot.
I am saying if more highly skilled Chinese and Indians apply for the same job,no cap should prevent them from immigration. If there FIFO ( First In and First Out), how will ROW suffer ? Can you explain ?

there are still atleast 20K visas left this year and atleast 85-90% of those will go to EB2 India. this should clear up a significant majority of the EB2 pending prior to 06/2006. As I mentioned before the numbers will be unavailable towards the end of September as all the visas are used up, but by this time most of the EB2 hat are current now will get their visas. the dates may go back slightly in October- probably to mid 2004 like you said, but it will not stay there for long. with all the Spill over, the dates will start moving rapidly in Nov/dec of this year itself and EB2 India will be current by this time next year. I agree wth your assertion that legislative fix is needed to increase the EB numbers and resolve the backlogs

Collin Powell incident is America's problem. Even after the civil rights movement and equality to Blacks, they are still having discrimination. Just ask Black people in America and how they feel in their daily life.
So according to you by coming to America we should forget India because you will call us traitor? Have you heard how Jews in America are so strong and care for Israel even after becoming US citizens?
The fact is Indians are responsible for their own problems and greencard woes. They want to live in this sorry state and blame everyone else around them except themselves. They do not have any pride in their roots and thus flee their own country. They do not come to this country for betterment of their skills, education and experience but because they want to flee the country. There maybe exceptions but this is what I have seen in Indians who are on H1B or who have become US Citizens.
There could be several reasons for people coming here. But most and primary reason is making some quick money and returning back. And a good portion of that money goes back to our motherland to prosper. People didn't flee the country. They flew out of the country because their skills are valued more elsewhere - its simple demand supply economics that made/makes our skills more valued outside - I don't want to eloborate more and hurt someone which definitely wasn't the intention.
IF we are after the GC, its purely for the mobility and assurity it provides and not for the path to citizenship. Though most of them want to return back, we still want the GC so we call the shots and not the INS. Long story short, no one is a traitor. They are just common 'smart' people - yah, they are common from the land we come from.

Of course your intention is clear and I am thankful that we Indians don't need to count on you. are you sure that 5882 is dead ??? in that case, I agree lets do this on a major scale ...we don't have to say accurately how many people have not bought the house ...lets say 80% of legal high paying immigrants are not buying because they don't have a GC ..(I did not read the prev threads in detail ..but I guess we need to include everyone ..and not just those who have not yet taken the plunge ..as that is more realistic) ....

We have taken these ideas to executive and legislative branches of the government. Our suggestions/proposals have been taken up at the top most level. This has been discussed more than few times with favorable consideration. Without being able to share the specifics, we have received extremely positive feedback for our suggestions. Specific events have to occur before this and similar ideas could possibly be considered in the new administration.

cause state department made the dates current....USCIS can only request visa's from state department.....since they were not asking for a lot of visas, which were going to go waste, state department made everything current...

How about everyone who came up with this idea on this thread. Why should IV core or murthy or someone do this ?
Does any one on this forum happen to know an approximate dollar amount that would cost for if we (IV team) is planning to proceed further with this class action law suite on USCIS?? the reason I am asking for is if we have known dollar amount/target amount in hand it makes it easy for all to start contributing towards this target amount and proceed further with law suite.
I am sure someone on IV team would create a separate bucket for this specific class action law suite task and keep track of amount that's been collected...
