2. the xoom is an excellent device. those stating they think that having a dedicated tablet OS is silly is kidding themselves. How can you consider yourself a "power user" and be tripped up by honeycomb? Seriously, can you only operate touch screens' with grids? I would would submit facebook has a tougher learning curve than honeycomb, but stop with the comments already, 2.2/2.3/3.0 are very well done OS's

I'm running Panther on a G5 with multiple user accounts. When my wife opens a PDF document from the web it automatically gets saved to her desktop. Her desktop is getting just a tad crowded. I've tried searching "help" in acrobat reader (latest version) but for the life of me can't find anything that would automatically save to her desktop. BTW, when she does click on a PDF doc the screen that comes up defaults to "open" with and not "save". We are using Mozilla as our browser if that makes any difference. Any help would be appreciated. If I were to guess, it would be this single new model alone for the rest of this year, with the 2 older models slotting in as the "bargain" versions for the holiday season. Then next year, after the launch of Kinect has settled in, and the older models are pretty well phased out, they could introduce a wider range of models.

How is this any differernt than posting a pic of you at a bar or a pic of something while on vacation from your iPhone (or other phone). Even without this Places feature its easy to figure out who isnt at home.
This would be a lot better because you won't have to take a picture of yourself at the bar (with your hair all jacked up, a girl who isn't your wife beside you in the picture, and 8 empty bottles of beer in the background).

Yep, this is an awesome app. You have to manually download the BETA version of Air Video Server for it to do Video Airplay though. The regular release does not support it.
The speed increase in the recent Server betas is fantastic. Seeking while watching live transcoded videos went from unusably slow to almost instantaneous.

I am using iPhone 3GS here, but I miss my old phone that could do all that.
And if iPhone can do that, it'd be great for all the east asian countries that have RFID stuff in their everyday life; like Japan, Hong Kong/China and such.
I'm thinking that the Asian market is one of the large reasons why Apple is going forward with RFID implementation. The lack of RFID functionality was one of the major gripes Japanese users had with the iPhone. Which is partly the reason that the iPhone is not as successful there.
And if iPhone can do that, it'd be great for all the east asian countries that have RFID stuff in their everyday life; like Japan, Hong Kong/China and such.

Most successful desktop operating system: Microsoft Windows.
Most successful server operating system: Microsoft Windows Server.
Most successful office suite: Microsoft Office.
Three good reasons (and there would be more like Exchange Server, Sharepoint Portal, SQL Server, Visual Studio) to also have confidence in the man if he were hired as a product manager.
Like it or not, Microsoft still is the most IMPORTANT software company around, and they don't hire incompetent idiots either.
