Hello,
I was curious as to why we can no longer click on a sub-forum link? If I am currently in the "Site and Forum Feedback" forum and want to go to the "Mac Community" sub-forum I cannot, it will only allow me to go back to the main index.
A little confusing I know. Please see the screenshot, I would like to be able to click on the highlighted link.

Glad to see the end of MobileMe and couldn't stand the "Me" idea. Seemed to be a trend back in the mid to late 90s when I worked for a big consumer products company. They had an intranet MY[big brand name].com and YOUR[big brand name].com and none of us in corporate could remember which was for consumers and which was for dealers.
Much better to think about it as what it can do for me, instead of being about "me". I look forward to learning more about "it". :apple:

I think he meant, that besides the standard edition, there will also be a model with iChat itegrated. BTW, iChat Mobile is an old name. I saw it on this board several months ago.

My time Capsule is full of old accounts and computers and I want to backup my macbook pro but don't know the best way to go about it. I run a small business network and the time capsule backs up 3 iMacs and one mac mini.
My mbp has a new harddrive and new profile (ie the home folder's name has been changed) but a lot of old data on the TC is the same as the mbp - so I don't want to delete it.
Can anyone advise please? Don't want to make a mistake that proves foolish later.

You know what people should be concerning themselves with today instead of this non-issue? The credit card and personal information of 77 MILLION users that was stolen from the Sony network this week. Now THAT is an issue.
PS. Do you think Sony will get sued?

At work we have our internal ethernet network and also wifi.
The wifi network tends to be that bit quicker because there's not as many users on it. Is there a way that I can tell particular applications to use the wifi network but still be connected to the corporate ethernet?

This may only happen if they get rid of the consumer-quality GPS receiver in it. Would raise the price of the handset, though.
It's more than likely going to be the use of their own software (iMaps?) rather than use Google which has their own Mobile OS now.

That was an awesome read. I am VERY interested in the removable graphics part. I really wanted the 6970m - but the 27" is physically not possible - so I'm stuck with the 6770m.
Can any comment on the possibility of upgrading your GPU down the road if needed?

it is more company like Samgsung have huge patent porfolios that they never really use unless they get sued and that is when they go looking threw it and saw Hmm "Apple is suing me what can I nail them on" Apple is currently starting to piss people off so they are going to start going threw their patents and hitting back.

This is my first time witnessing a live Macworld. I made the switch early last year and have become more addicted since. I was hoping for an update to the Mac Pro. A price drop, Cores maybe. Some More Juiciness about Leopard. I think the iPhone is really cool! I'm not that interested tho. I'm happy for everyone that has been dreaming of one.
I found the announcement of the name change to be scary. Obviously this keynote is a good example of how they are dropping the "computer" focus on the company. Which is kinda cool in a way but scary too. Just when I start getting into this whole thing they switch focus? I hope this isn't as bad as I think it could be.
I'm voted on disappointed but I am not totally bummed. I still think it was a great keynote. And I still think Steve and Apple are "Wicked cool". I can't wait to see the video.:cool:

Reminds me, must get my old Passat looked at. Needs a service anyway - they can look at the brake failure message i'm getting (probably a sensor as it only happens when cold and turning left!)
Anyway as for the new US model, looks like a bit of the current Polo/Golf styling (EU models anyway - not sure about US versions of them) is going on. Not too sure if I like it, however as I've not got the money and I live on another continent it's not an issue at the moment.
