I can back that one up. We received audit August 13 for 2005. Had to prove we are married & kids live with us. When called and spoke to officer she said it was an "INS flag"! Honest to God that is what she said. She then asked if we had applied in the last couple of months for 485's??? She knew all about the USCIS system and said one way of telling is if you file jointly at the same address each year then why would IRS be asking for proof of marriage and kids living there etc. She was great and confirmed they had received all paperwork. Had to resend due to liquid being spilled on copies.... Even H&R Block said it was INS based.
Then we get 4 out of 5 EAD's approved, but spouse gets RFE and it is proof of name change please resubmit marriage certificate!

How recent is that ? did they ask you for to submit it this year or in year 2005 ? I'm just curiouse what is IRS has to do with immigration? when did you apply for your I-485?
is there a relationship between taxes and Immigration?

Sorry for not mentioning in my first post earlier... Just now I received a copy of the Letter which my company received from the USCIS. It is mentioned as "NOTICE OF INTENT TO DENY (NOID)".
Reasons:
- Section 203(b)(2)(A) of the Act states
- 8 C.F.R 204.5(I)(3)(ii)(C)
These are related to the Education for 3 yrs degree..
- What is the next step ?
- What is the chance of a positive result?

words like 'Many', 'could' are used to justify the 'research' someone has done.
of course it forgets that most of them could be foreign workers long term work visas.
The cost of average medical birth in hospital is above $50k.. do you think people have that much money to pay for it ? If someone has $50k to blow on medical expenses then probably they don't need US citizenship.
Secondly the article propagates the 'anchor baby' myth. A person can only sponsor the parents when they reach age of 18.

We have 8000+ members but only 200+ contributed. I have been thinking about it and here is one possible answer. If you look at the poll result about whether we should push for 485 or not, there are about 280 guys supporting this goal. Maybe almost all recurring contributions are from this group. :confused:

But back to topic - you will get hired for a paying job based on a combination of your talent, knowledge, and experience. Show them what you can do or have done. First of all let me congratulate and thank IV for working tirelessly to bring about this huge benefit for most folks stuck in the green card mess. I have always believed in IV and its power to move mountains. However, in the midst of all this rejoicing, let's not forget a certain class of IV members who will not be able to take advantage of this recent benefit for all practical purposes. I am talking about the folks who are currently single and will not be able to file for their (future) spouse before Aug 17. It seems to me that the best thing that IV can do to bring relief to these folks is to lobby for and effect legislation to exclude dependents from the visa cap, i.e let dependents (or at least spouse) to file for I-485 even when priority dates are not current. I believe this single piece of legislation (if we can make that happen) will have a big effect on the entire community, because that will free up that many visa numbers that would otherwise have been used up, and let folks get their GCs faster (even if they are happy with their EADs and APs). Can IV focus on this front please ?

I think that instead of exhausting our energy on this issue, we better think how to make progress in our fight against injustice. People do not agree and have different ideas - sometimes to the point of personal hurt! - this is natural. They have different interests and even when they have shared goals, sometimes their paths to those shared goals may diverge - this is natural, too. Yes, differences, discussion and divergence can lead to a final separation and then two or mroe new groups are born - and it can happen naturally and it does not have to be rushed or forced through censorship and persecution. But sometimes debates and differences actually help the whole group to stay together and find a better path or a better solution - in the heat of the discussion and in the fight of the dualling arguments a new idea, approach or solution is born. I do think that a lot of the most contentious discussions on this forum are actually the most important and interesting ones because those are the oens that will cut to the heart of the problem and reveal the real depths of the issues. Suppression of diverging opinions is the hallmark of dictatorships.

Labor category is not an issue here. It is the position (Manager), job roles and responsibilties listed appears to be very restrictive. Secondly, the audit has increased.
