Wow, all the critical reviews to pay or not to pay, pre installed or dl on the fly. As I see it, both have draw backs as mentioned, but my general pref, is that it should dl at least your surrounding area. So Garmin (39.99), Tom Tom (39.99), Navigon (44.99), Google (free), Motion X ($2.99) etc. for US major apps.
And yet not one sole mentions Map Quest 4 Mobile (free), dl on the fly and I have never had an outage issue.
I do prefer a stand alone gps though. Therefore I don't see spending more for a secondary gps/backup on my mobile.
And for what its worth, currently using a Garmin 265WT, with traffic. I do have some slant toward Garmin as I use a eTrex Vista. On the iPhone I have all the bold apps. I prefer the Map Quest of all the boldfaced ones.

wonder if this is why direcTV never came out with this functionality. Generally they are ahead of the curve (TWC) with comes to actually providing value for the customers, to some degree.

When i had surgery on my teeth like ten years ago they used a gas on me, i don't believe they use that anymore for anyone. I had surgery last july on my knee and they used IV therapy. And the last thing i said to the Doctor was "It tastes like burning" But seriously it tasted like burning.
I thought that was the coolest thing ever. It feels cold going into your arm and it burns down your throat for some reason.
You will be fine iGary so don't worry, i love anesthesia because it made me feel all loopy >_>

By harnessing this power the devices, be they initially laptops and handhelds, or later even servers and PCs, should see improved energy efficiency, extended battery life and enhanced performance.
There are issues with the chip, as are to be expected from a development-stage product based on a new technology. At the present time, Eneco hopes to begin production late next year or early 2008.

Those were the two good games... Then there were things like Pac-Pix, Pok�mon Rush etc. Also the original DS was really ugly, especially compared to the PSP :) In the end though, DS Lite came out as the winner.
One thing I really liked about the DS was that it came with a Metroid Prime Hunters demo, so there was at least something to play with immediately. Same thing with the AR cards included with the 3DS.
I'm really looking forward to future 3DS games, but then I always remember how the thing is region locked :( I have lots of Japanese and American games, for example Ouendan 1 & 2, Taiko no Tatsujin, Phoenix Wright etc. Many of these games didn't come out in Europe at all or came around a year late.

Isnt Jobs a vegan? Cancer or not, not eating any animal products whatsoever is going to make you quite thin. If for no other reason than most things have animal products thus there just isnt a lot to eat.
Most things which can (!) make you fat, are natural products which "we" extract from fruits (starch, sugar, and so on), and which "we" use daily in "our" kitchen. It has nothing to do with "animal products".

Maybe we should also tell women that in the name of personal responsibility, they need to learn how to detect cervical cancer their own damn self. Maybe we should also tell a guy with Chlamydia that he should buy a chemistry set and invent his own damn cure.
Other organizations do that stuff also. The majority of Planned Parenthood's business is abortions.

I guess this means no TRUE VIDEO iPOD before Christmas. That is a let down.

While I think there will be no vPod this Christmas, I don't see why the airplane integration would imply this one way or the other. Even if you had a vPod, wouldn't you prefer to be reclining comfortably, looking at a video screen on the back of the seat in front of you? Personally, that seems to be more comfortable than having to hold the vPod in my hands for 2 hours while I watched the movie.

The iTracy watch that does everything and MR posters will complain that it's not 10 inches big, doesn't come in white, with matte screen option, for FREE etc.etc..

iphone 5 will get a significant overhaul in ios, not product shape or form I think. Maybe replace the back glass panel and their everlasting quest for weight loss.

One company is launching something in April, the other in October.
When October stuff comes out it will fall behind in development once April from another manufacturer launches, then they take turns trying to outdo each other.

Hey everyone!
After a few days of trying to:
a) Wipe the phone / Jailbreak
OR
b) Restore/Update/ Wipe Jailbreak
OR
c) Update and rejailbreak
I came up with nothing.
When I plug my phone into the computer, Itunes notices it, but cannot read any information and thus makes me restore. It downloaded the 4.3.2 firmware and started to get to work. After about 10 minutes it finally said failed. This happened over and over and over. Even using my own firmwares and the shift+click method. (Tried same 4.1, 4.2 and another 4.3.2). Nothing works. I even tried using iREB to put it into "Pwn dfu mode", but still I get errors. Anyone have any ideas?
The next thing I'm going to try to do is use another computer.
Also, what is that thing with changing the hosts file. I don't completely understand what it does and if it would help.

why do we (or some of us) want a entire case redesign for MBP... i mean, i can understand the logic behind easily accessible harddrive.. and if i push it, maybe the magnetic latch, but the entire case redesign? what's wrong with the current case? i think most people think the case looks nice...
only the macbook has been redesigned in the intel transition process.. but thats because ibook hasn't gotten a case redesign since ibook g3, no? and plus, it's not even THAT much of a redesign.. and aside from that, mini stayed the same, imac, mac pro all stayed the same (and imac already had a 2nd revision..) i don't see apple redesign it either
