we have professional lobbyists. and they cost the erath.
and that is why we need contributions. as long people "don't believe" we don't succeed. it's up to you, it's your issue as much as mine. professionals cost a lot of money, and this thread is quibbling over 20 and 50 bucks. anyway who is the knight on the white horse coming to rescue us? it's just us buddy, and we have to do our best. i like your analytical thinking. we need you to join in and help. any number of volunteers is less imho...
.....if ppl want to contribute lesser amounts all they need to do is find some like minded friends pooling their resources and making it into a big one time contribution. Involve your chapter leader and members in the process as well.We will guide you. But do not go to support this bill. Go to them asking for xxxxx that we will tell you once you have secured the appointment with the office. We will provide you with all the material and guidance. If we need to facilitate our provisions, this is what we need to do rather than sending any email or calls. They will have 0% effect at this time. Infact anyone sending emails from a junk email ID without revealing their name, phone number and home address in the email is wasting their energy and hurting themselves and others in this community. Lawmakers want to hear from their constituents and you need to be a real person. An office should be able to contact you and know you have a legitimate concern in their constituency. You should urge others not to undertake such misguided attempts of spamming lawmaker offices and follow a proper process instead. Ask people on other websites who are sending random emails to come to IV and join our advocacy effort. We will help them reach out to their lawmaker offices so that they can go and meet these offices to convey their pain and suffering themselves.

This is just some lawyer's opinion. Their "solution" though didn't work for me at least. Nobody asked for any "business neccessity justification". They simply denied my case automatically as I told before.

especially the reasons you gave as to why this bill is interesting...this bill does not scream employment based immigration but as I see it it does have has employment based visa provisions along with much wider and extensive family based gc provisions ..also there is no mention of temporaray visas / temp workers with tis bill..no mention of legalizing illegals to legal ....it is focussed exclusively on reducing waiting time for GCs for folks who are in the queue with more emphasis on family based

What makes this bill much more interesting is:
1. This is not a bill targetting the issues of Employment based category - So there won't be a huge backlash against this in the name of the economy and recession. The provisions for the employment category are just one item in this bill.
2. Family based immigration reform has a wider range of support from all kinds of groups unlike Employment based immigration reform. Just search for this bill "Reuniting Families Act" in google news and you can identify all those organizations supporting this bill (they all have a news release).

can any one see this Western Governors University (wgu.edu) got a MBA in IT. looks per sem... they are charging flat $3000.00. Is this ok to get MS from here (Distance Education) , or not suggestable with this University. All am looking for just to move EB2.

Please go and take some english writting classes first. Your english is very poor. Taking some classes will help you in longterm. MBA in US is taught in english not telgu. An MBA from a shady univ is not going to help you anyway and USCIS is cracking down hard on bogus porting these days.

I am not sure how encouraging it will be for you to hear about some of our friends in tristate area.
Pretty much like you (Desi employers, 80/20 or 70/30 arrangements, found contracts through dice/monster/hotjobs, filed in jul 07 fiasco and AC21'ed off to full time positions). There is nothing wrong with these arrangements but unfortunately they are considered pretty much illegal from the H1b & immigration point of view.
Employers of many of them who have received their GC and many who are pending are currently being investigated. First they closed the gaping hole called substitution and now they are after all these sketchy employers and the petitions pending/approved through them.
It sucks for people whose petitions have been approved and are now trying to crystallize their lives by buying homes, etc. Administration holds the trump card in that they can revoke GC/citizenship anytime.
Few of these desi employers were nice enough to notify the beneficiaries. Many of these cases involve people who filed for EB2 i-140 to capture their EB3 dates after changing employers.

Bingo! I was about to say this -- Under COBRA, govt will pay 65% of the payment. I have been to this boat before and COBRA is extremely expensive (~1500 dollars a month for a family of 3).
Also, you need to talk to a lawyer! Desi companies....what can I say.... no company should terminate anyone in the 9th month of pregnancy.

Friends, my AP renewal was received by TSC on June 7th (the receipt notice says that), but the on-line status check still says Initial Review. Any body in the same boat waiting with a June 7 receipt date still pending/Intial Review? Or has your case been approved as of that date? Please let me know.

There is nothing much that Obama can do unless there is bipartisan support in the congress. The House will not take it as Speaker Pelosi has said, if the Senate does not act first. In the Senate, Lindsey Graham is playing politics....... Unless, the legal immigrants and undocumented groups put pressure on a few republicans to get to co-sponsor the bill - it is a dead end.........

I am also on EAD and recently booked an house. Just pay 5% down payment and enjoy. I want my Kids to be raised in good neigbourhood and school. If my GC rejected , I will happily go back to India.
